About the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village
SBEV provides young people of Flint a space to learn, lead, and invest not only in their individual development but also the redevelopment of the region. SBEV is an IRS-approved 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and is located at the former Dewey school building, which has been rehabilitated and is currently being upgraded to house a wide array of programming in academics, athletic, and creative arts for youth in the north Flint area. Our campus has more than 62,000 square feet of devoted space that is exclusively dedicated to the developmental needs of Flint's at-risk youth population.
Kindhumans is a positive movement of respect, understanding, and small conscious decisions with a big positive impact. We are building a community based on these ideals. As citizens and consumers, we are more empowered with choice than ever before. At the same time, we have less trust in the products we consume and the companies that make them. We want to make the right choices, but in order to do that we need accurate information. The Kindhumans movement aims to inform and simplify consumer decision. Together, through our purchasing power, we can change the status quo and demand alternatives for a more balanced and sustainable lifestyle.
